Feb. 6: Valkyries Sign Laeticia Amihere
The Golden State Valkyries were awarded Laeticia Amihere on a waiver claim. Selected 8th overall in the 2023 WNBA Draft by Atlanta, Amihere played 38 games across two seasons (2023, 2024) with the Dream. The 6-3 forward brings extensive experience as a member of the Canadian National Team, including two Olympic appearances: 2020 in Tokyo and 2024 in Paris. Her international career began in 2015 at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship, where she recorded eight points and 10 rebounds en route to a gold medal. She made history as the first Canadian female basketball player to dunk in a game at age 15 and later became the first player of Ghanaian-Ivorian descent drafted into the WNBA. The Mississauga, Ontario native has represented Team Canada for seven years, totaling 27 senior appearances since her call-up to the senior national team in 2017. At the University of South Carolina, Amihere helped the Gamecocks to the 2022 National Championship and three Final Four appearances. She is one of seven South Carolina women's basketball alumni to compete at the Olympics, becoming the youngest Dream player and first Canadian in franchise history to do so when she represented Canada at the 2020 Tokyo Games during her collegiate career. » Read More

Feb. 6: Valkyries Sign Lissa Cunane
Cunane, a 6-5 center, is currently playing for BK Žabiny Brno of the Czech Women's Basketball League, averaging 11.4 points and 7.6 rebounds in the 2024-25 season. Cunane made her WNBA debut with the Minnesota Lynx in 2022, where she appeared in three games. She was drafted by the Seattle Storm in the second round (17th overall) in the 2022 WNBA Draft. Cunane was a member of the USA Basketball 2021 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup gold medal team, where she earned All-Star honors averaging 12.8 points and 8.0 rebounds. » Read More
Feb. 6: Valkyries Sign 2024 Sixth Woman of the Year Tiffany Hayes
The Valkyries signed veteran guard Tiffany Hayes. With 12 years of WNBA experience, Hayes joins the Valkyries after spending a breakout 2024 season with the Las Vegas Aces. She will wear #15 for the franchise. Hayes’ WNBA resume includes 2024 Sixth Woman of the Year, 2018 All-WNBA First Team and All-Defensive Second Team honors, and a 2017 WNBA All-Star selection. She finished sixth in 2018 MVP voting. In 2023, she became the seventh-fastest player to achieve 4,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 750 assists, 300 steals, and 350 three-point field goals, reaching the milestone in just 307 games. Hayes has career averages of 13.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. Feb. 5: Valkyries Sign Janelle Salaün
The Valkyries signed forward Janelle Salaün. A member of the French National Team, Salaün started for France in their silver medal run at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 6-2 forward, known for her scoring versatility and defensive ability to guard all five positions, is competing with Famila Schio in Italian Serie A1 where she is averaging 14.8 points per game and is shooting 37.3% from the three-point line. Feb. 5: Valkyries Sign Kyara Linskens
The Valkyries signed center Kyara Linskens. Linskens brings international experience as a standout center from Belgium's National Team, helping lead Belgium to fourth place at the 2022 FIBA World Cup, where she delivered a key performance of 24 points and 13 rebounds in a crucial victory over Puerto Rico. The 6-4 player continued her impressive international play in 2023, playing a key role in Belgium's historic first-ever European Championship gold medal. » Read More

Feb. 5: Valkyries Sign Chloe Bibby
The Valkyries signed forward Chloe Bibby. Bibby joins the Valkyries, playing with Uni Girona CB in EuroCup. Bibby has made an immediate impact in her first EuroCup season, emerging as one of the competition's top offensive threats while averaging 18 points per game and shooting 47% from three-point range. The 6-1 forward played college basketball at both Mississippi State and Maryland, where she showcased her versatility and three-point shooting ability. During her graduate season at Maryland (2021-22), Bibby played in every game and scored in double figures 20 times. Feb. 3: Valkyries Sign Monique Billings
The Valkyries have signed unrestricted free agent Monique Billings following her 2024 Valkyries Expansion Draft selection. The 6-4 forward averaged 7.4 points and 5.8 rebounds with the Phoenix Mercury and Dallas Wings in the 2024 season. Throughout her seven-year WNBA career, Billings has appeared in 213 regular season games, recording 16 double-doubles and career totals of 1315 points, 1229 rebounds, 196 assists, 154 steals and 102 blocks. » Read More
