The Valkyries made a splash in early in their 2026 free agency, adding All-Star forward Gabby Williams. Williams joins the Valkyries after spending the last four seasons with the Seattle Storm — she averaged career highs in points (11.6), assists (4.2), steals (2.3) and free throw percentage (85.3) for Seattle in 2025.

April 12: Valkyries Re-Sign Kaila Charles to Multi-Year Contract
The Valkyries re-signed guard Kaila Charles to a multi-year contract. Charles, 28, saw action in 18 games, eight of which were starts, for Golden State, averaging a career-high 7.4 points in 19.3 minutes per game. The guard also shot 46.3 percent from the floor, which was third-best on the team. Charles scored in double figures in five of the last eight regular-season games, all of which were starts, including back-to-back contests in which she tied her career high of 16 points. » Read More
April 12: Valkyries Activate Guard Justė Jocytė’s Rookie Scale Contract
The Valkyries activated guard Justė Jocytė’s rookie scale contract. Jocytė was selected fifth overall by Golden State in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Recently playing for Spar Girona in Spain, Jocytė is averaging 11.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists this season. She guided Lithuania to a 2-0 record in the 2027 FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers, averaging 15.5 points and 4.0 assists across two games. » Read More

The Valkyries re-signed forward Cecilia Zandalasini to a one-year contract. Zandalasini averaged a career-high 10.5 points per game across 19 games for the Valkyries, shooting 44.7 percent from the field and ranking seventh in the WNBA with a 40.7 three-point percentage. » Read More

The Valkyries signed forward Gabby Williams to a multi-year contract. Williams joins the Valkyries after spending the last four seasons with the Seattle Storm. Williams averaged career highs in points (11.6), assists (4.2), steals (2.3) and free throw percentage (85.3) for Seattle in 2025. Her 2.3 steals per game led the entire league, and her 99 total steals topped the WNBA. The Valkyries re-signed guard Veronica Burton to a multi-year contract. Burton, who enters her fourth season in the WNBA, returns to Golden State after a career-high and historic 2025 season with the Valkyries. Burton started all 44 regular-season games for the Valkyries, averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and a team-high 6.0 assists per game. The guard was the only WNBA player in 2025 to lead their team in total points (525), rebounds (192), assists (265), steals (50) and blocks (27).
