The Golden State Valkyries wrapped up their final home game of the regular season with a dominating 70-57 victory over the Seattle Storm on Saturday night at Chase Center. Tonight's win marks the Valkyries becoming the first team to hold its opponents under 70 points or fewer in six straight games since the Liberty in 2017, continuing to prove why they are the best defensive team in the league.

Kaila Charles paced the offense with 16 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double. As a team, they their season high of 42 rebounds in a game. The Valkyries tallied seven blocks, led by Kiah Stokes earning more than half with four blocks. Four other Valkyries reached double figures in scoring against the Storm: Laeticia Amihere (11), Justė Jocytė (11), Tiffany Hayes (10), Kaitlyn Chen (10).

CHARLES MILESTONE NIGHT
Kaila Charles had an all-around strong outing as a starter against the Storm, matching her career-high in points with 16 while controlling the boards with a game-high 12 rebounds. This marks the third time Charles has recorded a double-double in her career and second this season.

Staying sharp on defense, she also set a new career-high of four steals.

FIRST HALF SCORING FRENZY
A dominant 28-6 scoring run spanning the entire second quarter took the Valkyries to a 24 point lead going into halftime. Three of the team's four triples from the frame came in a three minute stretch, causing Ballhalla to errupt in a frenzy.

Jocytė led the team in scoring with eight points in the frame, leading to her setting a new career-high in points. Charles added some expertise on both ends of the court with seven points and four rebounds.

AMIHERE CONTINUES SHOOTING MOMENTUM
Coming off of a career-high performance of 17 points in the first of the Valkyries back-to-back matches on Friday, Laeticia Amihere continued to make an impact on offense. She racked up a team-high seven points in the first quarter coming off the bench. Her productive four minutes in the first frame were highlighted by a tough and-one play off a rebound put-back under the rim.

Amihere finished the game with 11 points, two blocks, and four rebounds.

JOCYTĖ HEATS UP EARLY
Justė Jocytė stayed hot from beyond the arc after a career night on Friday against the Fire, she quickly matched her career-high of nine points in the first half, all coming from 3-pointers.

Jocytė went on to set a new career-high with 11 points off 4-for-7 shooting from the field. She finished with three assists and three rebounds in 14 minutes on the court.
