The No. 2-seed Golden State Valkyries are set to play the No. 7-seed Dallas Wings in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs with Game 1 tipping off at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Chase Center. The Valkyries swept the Wings in their three game regular season slate, with two of those matchups played in Ballhalla. The Valkyries clinched a spot in the 2026 WNBA Playoffs with this win over the Dallas Wings at Chase Center, becoming the third team to do so at that point. The night was punctuated by Tiffany Hayes draining a near half-court shot in the final second of the first quarter in front of an electric Ballhalla. After a back and forth first frame, the Valkyries battled from behind in the second quarter by going on a dominant 22-5 scoring run while limiting the Wings to just 2-for-10 shooting to take a 16-point advantage going into the break. August 7: Valkyries 94 - Wings 76

Veronica Burton (22) and Gabby Williams (19) combined for 41 points, leading the Valkyries to beat the Dallas Wings in this road matchup at American Airlines Center. Conducting the offense outside of her own scoring, Burton dished an impressive seven assists with zero turnovers. As a team, the Valkyries had 19 more assists than their opponent (27-8), setting a new franchise record for total assists coming from seven different players. With a corner 3-pointer in the fourth quarter, Kayla Thornton reached 2,500 career points against a team she spent six years of her career with. The Valkyries secured their fourth consecutive win with this 11-point victory over the Dallas Wings at Chase Center. Gabby Williams scored a team-high 25 points while Kayla Thornton added a season-high 11 rebounds in the contest. The Valkyries were trailing 30-21 in the second quarter before momentum shifted and they went on a 19-0 scoring run to take a 10-point lead. The Wings were outscored 27-7 in the frame. The Valkyries second unit provided an offensive spark with Kaitlyn Chen, Janelle Salaün and Tiffany Hayes combining for 37 of the team's 43 reserve points.
