Game Preview: Valkyries vs. Seattle Storm - 9/19/26

The Valkyries conclude their regular-season home slate by hosting the Seattle Storm at Chase Center on Saturday. The Valkyries have the WNBA’s best home record and have had a sellout crowd for every game this season. Saturday’s matchup marks their second and final back-to-back of the year. Seattle Storm rookie guard Flau’jae Johnson will play her first regular season game at Chase Center since the Valkyries traded her on draft night. Johnson ranks second among 2026 rookies in total points scored and is the second rookie in Storm franchise history to eclipse 500 points. 

Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night at Chase Center and the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a Valkyries Shoulder Bag, presented by Waymo.

VALKYRIES: Kaitlyn Chen is one of five players league-wide with at least 2000 field goal attempts who has shot at least 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from three this season, joining Sarah Ashlee Barker, Aaliyah Edwards, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston. 

STORM: Flau’jae Johnson ranks second among 2026 rookies in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks, and ranks fifth in assists.
