Welcome to Wallpaper Wednesdays, presented by Adobe – fan design challenge where you become the artist! In collaboration with Adobe, we're inviting Valkyries fans to show off their creativity by designing custom mobile wallpapers using exclusive Valkyries-themed Adobe Express templates.
Your masterpiece could be featured on the official Golden State Valkyries Instagram Stories!
How it Works

Use Adobe Express to remix and customize Valkyries templates.

Other reminders & recommendations:
Do’s
- Required to submit in standard IG Story specs 9x16
- Elements that celebrate the Valkyries’ identity
- Bay Area pride. Think the Bay Bridge, Oakland roots, and Valkyries symbolism
- Sleek, clean, and exclusive - less is more
Don’ts
- No profanity, obscenities or pornography
- No third party IP (i.e. names, logos, etc.), including but not limited to Adobe and the WNBA
- No player imagery
3. Submit Your Creation
Upload your final creation through this official submission form. Submissions close on Friday, September 12th.
4. Share it to Your Story
Post your final design to your own Instagram Story, and don’t forget to tag @valkyries and @adobe — we might reshare it!
5. Get Featured
Standout fan designs will be spotlighted on our IG Stories – powered by Adobe.
Adobe Express: Step-by-Step Guide
Accessing the Templates
- Click the template collection link
- Log into Adobe Express (or sign up for free)
- You’ll be directed straight to the Valkyries Wallpaper collection
Customizing a Template
- Open the collection
- Choose a template → Click "Customize Template"
- Replace images or graphics:
Tap the item → Click “Replace”
Upload your own image or graphic - Add Objects:
Tap image → Select “Insert Object”
Type the item you want to add - Edit Text:
Tap text → Click “Edit Text”
Type your custom message - Add Text Effects:
Tap text → Click “Effects” → “Text Effects”
Describe a texture and let Adobe generate stunning options
Submitting Your Wallpaper

Recognition
- Our team will review submissions
- Adobe + Valkyries will select up to 5-8 fan features
- If selected, wallpapers will be featured on Valkyries Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Sept. 10th and Wednesday, Sept. 17th.
Do I need to pay for Adobe Express?
Nope — it’s completely free to use with a basic Adobe account.
Can I submit more than one wallpaper?
Yes, you can submit 5 per day! Show us what you’ve got.
Do I have to use the Valkyries templates?
Yes — use the official templates to be eligible for selection.
How will I know if my wallpaper design will be featured?
If selected, your wallpaper design will be posted to the Valkyries Instagram account (via IG Stories on Wednesday, Sept. 10th or Wednesday, Sept. 17th.
Who can enter?
Anyone 18 years and older who loves the Valkyries and wants their design on the big stage.
Can I use my design elsewhere?
Yes! Your design is yours to share.
