Golden State Valkyries Eclipse 10,000 Season Ticket Deposits

Team Has Received Over 2,500 Deposits Since Brand Launch On May 14

The Golden State Valkyries have eclipsed 10,000 season ticket deposits and have received over 2,500 deposits since the team’s brand launch on May 14, it was announced today. The expansion franchise, which marks the first WNBA expansion team since 2008, will begin play in the 2025 WNBA season.

Fans who wish to become a Valkyries season ticket member can do so by placing an online deposit.

Originating from Norse mythology, Valkyries are a host of warrior women who are fearless and unwavering – flying through air and sea alike. This brand is Golden State’s modern interpretation of Valkyries: strong, bold, and fierce.

The Golden State Valkyries will host a Valkyries Block Party tomorrow, May 18, from 2–6 p.m. at Thrive City, the plaza surrounding Chase Center. The event will feature appearances and performances from iconic artists with ties to the Bay Area including Kehlani, E-40, P-Lo, Goapele, Mayzin and Khyenci. Fans of all ages will have the opportunity to hear from Valkyries President Jess Smith. The event will be moderated by Zena Keita, of The Athletic Women’s Basketball Show and NBC Sports Bay Area.

For fans looking to attend the Block Party, entry into the event is first-come, first-served. Attendees with a secured ticket will receive priority admission until capacity is reached. Based on capacity, fans can secure tickets HERE.
