The Golden State Valkyries announced their 22^nd sellout of the year and 44^th overall, capping a second straight season in which they sold out every regular season home game. The Valkyries lead the league in both average attendance (18,064) and total attendance (397,408) in 2026, marking the second consecutive season they’ve topped the league in both categories.  

"When we launched our brand and introduced this team to the world last year, the reception was amazing,” said Valkyries President Jess Smith. "But seeing how our fans have shown up in year two has been special. We didn’t think it was possible, but they brought even more passion, energy, and sense of community this season. We can truly feel that this culture is built for the long haul."

The Valkyries are the only franchise in WNBA history to sell out every home game in each of its first two seasons, welcoming 794,816 fans into Chase Center since the team’s first game in May 2025. The team is also the first in WNBA history to average an attendance of over 18,000 per game across a full season.  

Earlier this year, the Valkyries set a new WNBA benchmark by securing over 12,000 season ticket holders, breaking their own record of 10,000 set ahead of the 2025 season. They are the first franchise in WNBA history to hit each of these milestones. The team also announced today that it has achieved a season ticket renewal rate exceeding 90% for the 2027 season, a threshold they’ve achieved for the second straight season.
