WNBA Finals Game 4 Highlights: Golden State Valkyries 67 - Atlanta Dream 62 | 10/24/26
GAME 4 TAKEAWAYS:
Taking the First Half
The Valkyries got off to an explosive start, going into halftime with a series high 16 point lead. They limited Atlanta's top scorer Angel Reese, who went into Game 4 averaging 21.1 PPG in these Finals, to just one field goal and four points in the first half.
Winning the Turnover Battle
The Valkyries struggled to limit their turnovers as they had 10 or more over the first three games, setting a franchise record in Game 2 for most turnovers in playoffs in with 19. On Saturday, they found their groove, only committing nine while forcing a series high 18 from Atlanta. Golden State also tallied eight steals to the Dream's four.
Points in the Paint Over Three-Pointers
The Valkyries shot 16% from beyond the arc with only four made triples, tied with Atlanta's three-point output but far from Golden State's identity after they led the league in 3-pointers per game for majority of the regular season. What they didn't make from deep, they made up for in the paint. After being outscored 44-20 in Game 3, the Valkyries came back strong, recording 38 points in the paint to the Dream's 28 on Saturday.
